This video had to be no more than 30 seconds and had to include a storyline. We had the choice to either go for 3D and use Cinema 4D or go for 2D and use Adobe After Effects.
The whole class went for the 2D option but I was up for a challenge and went with Cinema 4D. I have always enjoyed short films and so I aspired to let this project be a proper short 3D film. I
soon found out that I underestimated the amount of time I had to figure things out and to actually make it happen.
I made the decision to make this short video about a guy walking around the city with a coke in his hand. He decided to throw the can into the bushes which destroyed them, nature attacks back and
makes him into a tree. Because you shouldn't forget that humans are nature too. After making this short film I have learned quite a lot and figured out a few things that I would do different on
the next 3D project.
Some of the textures are missing because I did not work in the most efficient way. Because of that mistake the rendering took more that 24 continues hours.. (without most textures applied to make
it go faster).
I learned from that mistake but it was too late for me to fix everything in order to catch my deadline for this animation. Now I know how to prevent this from happening.
